A preview for S/mileage’s 6th single titled Koi ni Booing Buu! has been released.
The preview aired on a Bijo Gaku segment.
Most of the segment shows of the recording of the track (most notably the “Buu’s” from the instrumental track) but starting from 3:27 we get to hear a preview of what will most likely be the final track, and from what I heard I was pretty impressed since it doesn’t have an overly cute sound and it seems to be somewhat slower with a great beat.
The song’s main point would most likely be the “Buu!” we hear after every other line and it seems like a great addition from what I heard since it gives the song a bit more of S/mileage’s fun and cute theme, although it will most likely be a bit too much if they add it after every single line in the song.
The instrumental seems to be a bit calmer and full of guitar, which was surprising since the title seemed like it would be another cute song with synthesizers, but I was glad that Tsunku composed the song in this way since it shows off each member’s voices well apart from giving the song a bit more of a wider appeal to other age groups.
Since the preview is short we don’t have a clear idea of what it will sound like overall, but so far I am impressed with the beat and the vocals since they seem to match S/mileage in a surprisingly calmer way.
Hopefully fans can check out the video below so that they know what the song will sound like, but if you would like to wait for a radio rip then I would suggest you do that since there are different parts of the song shown all over the video instead of only one consistent preview.
The video will most likely be taken down in the next few days so I hope fans watch it beforehand.
The release date is set for 4/27.
