On April 1st, TV stations all over Japan held an initiation ceremony for their new employees.
TV Tokyo welcomed former Morning Musume member Konno Asami (23) as a rookie announcer. Konno entered Morning Musume in 2001 as a 5th generation member and graduated from the group in 2006. She made a return to Hello! Project in 2007, only to graduate again in 2009. It was reported last year that she had received a job offer at TV Tokyo, and she is now an official employee.
Actor Ikuta Toma’s younger brother, Ryusei (22), also attended the initiation ceremony at Fuji TV as a rookie announcer.
TV announcer is a competitive field in Japan, so congratulations to both Konno and Ikuta.
