Why is J-Pop is better than kpop.

Satu artikel menarik untuk aku kongsikan bersama...Artikel ni aku amik kat facebook...Baca la kalau ada masa terluang...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Reasons why kpop suck(For us)
- Meaningless lyrics. Repeating a single word a thousand times in a song is not the thing for us.
- Too mainstream and repetitive,every single group and singer is doing the same thing.
- Just catchy and that's all to it,nothing else and this isn't enough to make us think that it's good music.
- Good choreography (for kpop fans) doesn't equate good music. (kpop fans love to say that kpop has great dances and I don't think that has anything to do with the music.)
And now why J-Pop is better.(For us)
- J-Pop has more variety. Japan's music industry  is the 2nd largest in the world. It has all sorts of singers,groups and bands unlike kpop which is very mainstream. Listening to 10 kpop singers/groups is no different from listening to just 1 singer/group IMO.
- Meaningful lyrics. I don't think I have to explain this. J-Pop,J-Drama and anime fans know.
- Doesn't get stale as quickly as kpop songs because of the great music arrangements. I mean,catchy songs get boring real fast. It's easy to hum because the chorus repeats like a hundred times throughout the whole song. For those who can actually put kpop songs on replay for the whole day without getting bored,I admire you guys. =="
This is my opinion. Come up to me and tell me what you don't agree on.
If you're gonna say that "you hate kpop,this is just fucking biased" then fuck you.
Here's an article written by a kpop fan,Kiw Abalos キウイ.
Here's another one comparing J-Rock to kpop by Melody Vue. (My fave genre is J-Rock btw. J-Pop second.)
*Edit. Would quote out some specific stuff from the links for the kpop fans who are lazy to even click the link.
If you aren't then click the link and read the whole thing on your own.
"First of all, J-Pop is diverse, even more diverse than Western Pop, in fact. You guys ever listen to Anime soundtracks? Listen again, carefully this time, without personal prejudice and that idiotic mindset. Listen to the arrangements, the hook, the melody. You can hear elements of the experimental: a fusion of Jazz, Rock, Electronica, and a whole other bunch of genres, all meshed in a perfectly arranged composition with complicated and unpredictable phasing (of tempo, or overall arrangement), to make these songs unidentifiable and indescribably awesome. Take for example Yu Yu Hakusho's "Sayonara Bye Bye" or "Daydream Generation". Or TM Revolution's "Heart of Sword" and Bonnie Pink's "It's Gonna Rain" (from Samurai X). Listen to M-Flo, L'Arc-en-Ciel, Utada Hikaru, or Yui. They represent what J-Pop is all about: Diversity, with a slight brush of catchiness. You get music in its most spectacular, reminiscent of The Cardigans and The Smashing Pumpkins. K-Pop is good, too, don't get me wrong. I absolutely love Big Bang and Clazziquai songs. But they are still one-dimensional, and still lack musical depth, complication of arrangement, and influence. I think you would agree with me when I say that K-Pop is still growing and maturing, so this is only natural. If you don't agree, then you know nothing about music and are, therefore, stupid.
Second, J-Pop is known in Korea thru Anime and other forms of J-Ent (like video games and J-Drama). Japanese artists don't need to promote and release there. Mainly because they make more money if they released in their own country, and also because they're already popular there to begin with. SNSD even released a compilation of their favorite J-Pop hits... have you ever seen a J-Pop artist compile a list of their favorite K-Pop songs? Nah. To Japanese artists, K-Pop songs are basically non-existent. K-Pop needs Japan much much more than J-Pop needs Korea, that's why you get K-Pop artists translating their songs to Japanese and hoping to enter the Japanese music scene... and when they do, Korea reveres them like gods. Look at BoA and TVXQ: they promote more Japanese singles. Why? Because they make more money... despite Korea worshipping them (their success in Japan is nothing compared to their popularity in Korea, because of the intense competition... but they still make more money in Japan). Because it is an achievement: Japan, after all, has the second biggest music market next to the US. So the question I'd like to ask is: Why would a Japanese artist leave Japan to promote in Korea? Idiotic.
Third: Anime is still more popular worldwide than anything Korean. Japanese artists like the Teriyaki Boyz and M-Flo have collaborated with well-known artists in the US. Utada Hikaru has a steady fanbase all over the world. Some of Ayumi Hamasaki's songs have been produced by world-renowned producers. Japanese songs have been translated to English and have been gaining success in the US for three decades. Meanwhile, K-Pop has the Wonder Girls, who failed miserably on their attempt to enter the US music scene. Nuff said."
"First of all...Kpop is fun; its upbeat and the artists are undeniably HOT and Sexy and CUTe. but......thats all that matters in the k-pop industry. as long as you have a likable face, a hot body and decent dancing skills, you're in! It doesnt matter if you can sing or not. now a perfect example of this would be Dara from 2ne1. i LOVE 2ne1 i think they are so fun and they are really about girl power which is awesome and i think that the other 3 members are very very talented. but Dara...just isn't. Shes a pretty good dancer, she can't really sing, but she's very cute! and yet shes very popular. i like her but i just dont think shes all that.
in k-pop its about how popular you can get and how many people you can get to like you!
there are groups like SNSD who i think could do without some members. i mean for Pete's sake, theres nine girls, i don't even know all their names!
well anyways. i feel like the music itself is often pointless and have no story and no moral.
it has no emotional significance. k-pop nowadays is basically just a good beat and a the most of the time, the lyrics are stupid and repetative. All k-pop songs are ALL about the SAME thing!! if the songs arent about how much you love someone, then its about how much you miss someone. and if its not about that, its about how you dont need that person. its kinda annoying sometimes. but i have to admit, its catchy and fun...so i cant say that i hate it."
