S/mileage have been nominated for the category of Best New Artist at the 52nd Japan Record Awards.
I’m glad to see that S/mileage have been nominated since they definitely deserve to be among the many winners in the awards due to their growing popularity and their hard work, and even though we will have to wait to find out if they win I look forward to finding out if they win.
They have just debuted this year and they have accomplished a lot so far, including selling close to 30,000 copies of their 3rd major single, appearing in many shows, and finishing up their first solo concert tour, so they definitely deserve to be nominated.
The other artists in the category are ICONIQ, Madoka Kikuchi, and SNSD, which is somewhat difficult competition, but hopefully S/mileage win since they have definitely worked hard throughout the past year to be where they are now.
The winners will be announced on 12/30.
