C-ute member Okai Chisato recently uploaded a video called “Dance de Bakoon! wo Odotte Mita Okai Chisato” on the official C-ute Youtube Channel. The webcam style dance video has surged in popularity and in just two days time already has over 100,000 views and has become quite the hot topic.
The video is done much in the style of webcam girls dancing to their favorite songs in their rooms. It showed the popular idol dancing happily and was uploaded to youtube and nico nico douga. The young idol goofs around and true to the video title, “tries to dance.” With the popularity of the impromptu video surging, the C-ute channel decided to do another personal video titled “Okai-chan Sleeps” which was streamed on November 9th through their Ustream channel. It will be uploaded soon onto the official youtube account as well.
The comments left on the video show fans from all over the world. She has already released a second dance video of her dancing to her C-ute indies hit “Ookina Ai de Motenaishite” which is also proving very popular.
Okai herself is quite happy with the way the videos are being received. She commented, “Youtube is watched all over the world. I’ve read the comments and so many of those wrote them are from different countries. It made me so happy… it makes me glad I did this challenge.” She continued on to say that she was hoping to challenge more songs in the future, so fans can definitely look forward to more impromptu videos from the new Youtube starlet!
