Hello! Project members to release in-house “Hello Cover” albums!

The official Hello! Project website has announced that select H!P members will each be releasing a “Hello Cover” album!

These H!P artists will cover at least 9 songs of their own choosing from their fellow H!P labelmates, with the first project scheduled to drop on December 8th via Recochoku and iTunes.

The public will be able to sample their first taste of the project through Kamei Eri, who’s chosen the following 9 songs:

- “Manatsu no Kousen” (Morning Musume)
- “Furusato” (Morning Musume)
- “Koi wo Shichaimashita” (Tanpopo)
- “Seinaru Kane ga Hibiku Yoru” (Tanpopo)
- “Egao ni Namida ~thank You! Dear My Friends~” (Matsuura Aya)
- “Love Namidairo” (Matsuura Aya)
- “Koi no Hana” (Abe Natsumi)
- “Onegai Miwaku no Target” (Melon Kinenbi)
- “Kousui” (Melon Kinenbi)

Eri updated her blog with thoughts about her participation in the project, and expressed her wonder about who the next member could be. As of today, Eri managed to rank #1 on the “Musico“ daily album chart, and secured the #4 spot on iTunes Japan for album downloads, right behind Utada Hikaru, Dragon Ash, and Lady Gaga.

Eri also left a video in which she discussed the difficulty she faced in choosing from such a wide variety of popular H!P songs.
